Convergance Theme Brings New Look to iOS Lock Screen

Convergance is an gorgeous upcoming Cydia theme that brings an entirely new look to the iOS 7 Lock Screen. Convergance, developed by Matt Clarke also features widgets on the lock screen and it even includes its own theming engine so you can customize Convergance even further.

That refinement is the heart of Convergance. This is not just a theme; it's a whole new direction. It takes the beauty of iOS, and combines it with a subtle tone of minimalism. It's a convergence of art, an expression of functionality.

Every detail has been considered, from the ease of use of the widget feed to the smallest of animations. The lock slider elegantly melts away the interface to reveal your applications running underneath. The blurred background helps to make the information most important to you much more visible, and when you change the wallpaper, the whole feel of the interface changes with it.

You can use widgets to convey a wide range of information, from the current weather conditions, to what's up next on ESPN. Unlike most themes, you're not limited to using HTML when creating your widgets - an Objective-C API is also available to deeply integrate them into iOS, which is distributed in the form of an iOSOpenDev template.

Widgets lets you toggle airplane mode, location services, bluetooth, rotation lock, brightness and more. There is also a weather, calendar, and RSS widget, with more widgets to come.

Convergance also does not rely on WinterBoard or DreamBoard as it is deeply integrated into the OS. It is compatible with all retina devices on iOS 6 or higher. iPad is currently not supported, but on the list of things to add in the future.

You will be able to download Convergance from the ModMyI repo soon, but currently the theme is on pre-orderfor $2.
